Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you, reaching over 500 signatures shows just how strongly our community feels about fair access to education for our young people.
I wanted to share an important update. Following the success of this petition, North Norfolk District Council has confirmed that transport provision to Easton College is now being reviewed. As part of this process, councillors have asked for real-life examples from families affected by the lack of a direct bus route from Cromer and surrounding villages.
With Sheringham Sixth Form no longer offering A-levels, the only colleges with direct transport links from our area are now Paston and Norwich. This significantly narrows choices for students whose preferred courses are at Easton College.
If you have signed this petition and:
Have a child who attends or plans to attend Easton College
Decided against Easton due to transport difficulties
Travel from Cromer, Sheringham, Mundesley, the Runtons, or nearby villages
Please take a moment to email your experience to:
📧 eastonbus@hotmail.com
Even a short message explaining where you live, how your child currently travels (or would need to), and the challenges faced will help build the evidence needed to support change.
This is a crucial moment, your voice can directly influence the outcome of the review.
Thank you again for standing up for our young people and their right to choose education based on opportunity, not transport.
Crystal
