A Message from Bassel’s Wife, Noura

Feb 5, 2016 — Hello Everyone,

Thanks to those of you took action on Human Rights Day. It was amazing to see support from you, tech organizations, and even the US Secretary of State John Kerry: http://www.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2015/12/250541.htm.

In the month and a half since International Human Rights Day, we haven’t received any updates from Syrian officials, and we want to continue focusing our efforts on the United Nations. Please click this link to tweet at UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and ask him to help #FreeBassel: http://ctt.ec/44lRG and please read the following note from Bassel’s wife, Noura:

“I expected you Bassel to come back on our marriage anniversary on Jan 7, and before, when I wrote our story and you translated it to English. I am scared that another valentine will come and you are not with me. I am worried passing one hour without you, and worried that another March will come with your arrest memory, and you are still disappeared. I love you Bassel, and my love is mixed with fear.”
