I’m absolutely overwhelmed by the signatures and we still need your help. As I stated Christian has already served over 5 years for a first time offense other than traffic and NO violent charges, transcripts are public or charges and other information can be found on judici.com in Jackson County IL. We appreciate the love and support and are extremely grateful for those that have signed, shared or donated. Young people will make mistakes in life or bad decisions and we pray it’s never or loved one but it can happen to anyone. Definitely start talking to them as early as possible about choices and friends. It could save their life or a nightmare like this. Marijuana is legal in IL medically and recreationally, I believe in 2nd chances, I feel over 5 years of a very young mans life is fair and I don’t feel it’s helping the taxpayers or Christian beyond that. This has changed his life and ours as his family, he is very remorseful for any mistakes he made and wants a chance to come out and go back to work and the company he worked for at the time of his arrest has offered him his job back. We’re grateful for the support from them immensely. I apologize for the long update but just wanted to fill everyone in and just let you all know that I cried when I saw the numbers yesterday. I miss my son. A part of my heart is missing. Holidays, Birthday’s, wedding’s (His sisters) etc. are not the same without him. He misses his 3 nephews terribly and they miss him. 6, 8 and 12 now. We need criminal justice reform, when people are getting less time than my son for murder, rape, child molesters , etc. It’s time for private prisons to stop trading on the stock market and profiting from a young kids mistakes. It’s time to #endmassincarceration it’s time for #criminaljusticereform #lastprisonerproject #endmandatoryminimums PLEASE KEEP SIGNING and SHARING. Thank you all again so much! Christian thanks you all. I think we made his last 5 years with the numbers. God Bless you all. Sincerely,Tina Reichert
