Thank you all so much for signing Christian Reichert’s petition. We still have a long way to go so please keep sharing. It’s hard to comprehend a young man who made a mistake could get this kind of time for a first offense and no violent charges. He has served over 5 years now and has learned a valuable lesson that unfortunately will affect the rest of his life. So the sentence doesn’t end when they are released but will follow him the rest of his life as far as housing and a job. Please help us get him home so he can try to rebuild his life and return to what normalcy he can and hopefully work and have a chance at having his own family. Thank you all so much for your support. Excessive prison sentences are not always the answer especially for a young person with no criminal history over a marijuana crime he had little to do with and no violent charges but knows he has to take accountability for his mistake.
