Proposed compromise sent to Channel 4 News-Mara McDonald and Detroit Red Wings Organization

To Detroit Red Wings Today at 5:23 PM Please consider this: I wrote and sent this to Mara McDonald at WDIV-Channel 4 today in regards to her story on petitions circling the internet requesting the Illitch's to consider changing the arena name. I too started a petition because there was so much backlash and complaints on social media. I figured why just complain when I can try to do something about it? So my petition was made... I am starting to realize that the Illitch organization doesn't care that 90% of the people in North America DON'T LIKE IT! Here is what I propose, seeing as they are not going to budge on the name change, could they at the very least compromise with all of us? Option 1 • Add a Red Wings jersey to the pizza guy they intend to display on the roof. Option 2 • Consider adding Hockeytown to the name. "Little Caesars Hockeytown Arena" would make the fans happy! Option 3 • Do both of the above! Here is why I think it will help please the people, all of the comments feel the hockey has been left out. The two changes would satisfy that. In my voting poll at the end of the petition, Hockeytown has the majority of the vote. I think adding the jersey to the pizza guy/mascot will also represent our team. (Red Wings of course) They put the jersey on the statue in front of the county building at playoff season, why not add it as part of the picture on the roof? If you have any resource that can get this proposed or at least sent to the Illitch holdings inc. organization, etc. please share this with them!
