I find it confounding that we, in our great state of Minnesota, continue to celebrate the history of a violent, marauding group of warriors, by naming the state's flagship sports franchise after the Vikings.

The Vikings Age of the British Isles was a period where un-guarded fishing villages of differing faiths were targeted, pillaged, raped, and plundered by war mongering pagans.

In today's socio-political climate, it is highly distasteful to celebrate this history and culture, and the privilege shown by the Vikings thinking they were entitled to anything they want and not living in harmony with groups of people with differing ideologies.

Let's make a difference and end this atrocity!  Force the Minnesota Vikings to change their name to reflect something positive!
