Dispute IKEA's decision to change Ribba box frame fronts from glass to Perspex

The Issue

Ikea have recently told of their decision to change the fronts on their Ribba Box Frames (23x23 and 50x50) from glass to Perspex. Many crafters use these frames for their projects and although they would be inevitably easier to send in the mail, Perspex scratches extremely easily resulting in having to be thrown away and the need to re start it all over again. It is also horrendously static and takes three times longer to clean than glass.

Glass has more clarity, strength and overall better quality. I fear Perspex will only be more time consuming and less desirable to my customers. Plus if I'm having to throw it away due to it getting scratched and buying more that's certainly not good for the planet

Glass gives a certain kind of clarity and quality that plastic can't.

Many will no doubt feel they need to find an alternative frame that still provides them with glass therefore Ikea will lose ALOT of custom from this change. Also they've recently increased the price from £3.55 to £3.95 each so changing the front too just doesn't make commercial sense. The aim is to highlight the amount of customers who wish to keep the glass fronts and hopefully make Ikea see reason as to not change them.
