School in a terrible state of neglect

Parents and students for Lowell

Lowell high is falling apart. It has been for decades, and nothing has changed. If the MSBA doesn't approve the funding for a new school soon, the students, staff, and faculty will face these conditions for years to come. If the new city council wants to redo the previous council vote to build at Cawley, the process of choosing a location will have to start over. That's 2 years wasted, money wasted, and that's a huge mistake for the city. If the MSBA follows the process the way they are expected to, then we can have a new school in 3 years, instead of a renovation in 7. Why are they stalling this project that we so desperately need to move forward? It's unfair that they are allowing one neighborhood to get their way, and ignoring the needs of the students. Put the kids first, not the NIMBY neighborhood.
