It's really simple:

1. Gareth Cliff tweeted "People really don't understand free speech at all". This can in no way be seen as an endorsement of racist comments. You can disagree with what someone is saying but believe in their right to say it.

2. Let's not make Idols SA yet another politicised platform. Gareth Cliff is amazing on Idols. His dismissal has nothing to do with whether we, the fans, like him or whether he is fair and liked by contestants.  

3. We can continue to debate with Gareth Cliff on what freedom of speech means, if you disagree with his definition. But leave IdolsSA alone and BringBackGarethCliff!

4. This is about more than Gareth Cliff. It doesn't matter if you like him or not. It is standing up for what is right. Many have said that even if they don't like him, he should not have been fired.
