2/9/26, we have conversed with administration and after a civilized discussion they have made it clear that our movement and message will not be overlooked and discarded and we are on track to continue moving our message to its directed audience and destination. They have heard our argument to its full extent and decided to not interfere.
However, the walkout itself will not be happening this friday as previously planned. The safety concerns not only for those participating in the walk, but for those affected by the repercussions of getting ICE's attention have been made clear. With this in mind, we are going to postpone the walk for warmer weather, and a message that will not bring ICE to our doorstep, or to our students.
With all of this said, our message and movement has not been silenced. More information regarding upcoming events will be posted as soon as possible. Without your support we could not have made it as far as we have, so thank you to everyone who signed up. Because of all of you we were able to make our voices heard and will continue to be able to, without fear of punishment driving some away.
