ICE officers are simply doing their job by enforcing existing immigration laws. However, their work is often interfered with or obstructed by other authorities and political pressure. Law enforcement agencies should not hinder ICE’s operations. ICE needs sufficient authority to carry out its duties without interference, for the good of public safety and the rule of law.
