I have lived in Singapore for almost 12 years and i have attended primary, secondary and tertiary educational instutions here. However my recent application for citizenship has again been rejected even though i have appealed mutiple times via the pasir ris - punggol GRC. In the past 11 years i have applied for permanent resident for at least 3 to 4 times and it all has being rejected. I grew up in Singapore and have integrated myself into the culture of Singapore. Im even confident enough to say i know this country better than most Singaporeans amongst my peers, so what is it that makes me less of a Singaporean than others? I really do not understand the rationale behind the rejection of my citizenship and PR application and noting regarding the reason of rejection was written on the acknowlegement letter I received from ICA. I love this country and I would be more than happy to be of service and contribute to this country. I am grateful for this country BUT im not given the opportunity to give back to this country as a proud Singaporean. My parents work very hard to support my education in Singapore and all my family members are already Singapore citizens including my two younger brothers, with the exception of my mum whose citizenship application just got approved. I really want to stay in Singapore in the future and therefore the purpose of this petition is to help me to appeal to ICA for an re-evaluation of my application. Thank you!
