We welcome the stance you have taken against the renewal of the Trident nuclear weapons system. As MP for Edinburgh South and Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, you are in a unique position to act upon your principled opposition to the moral and financial obscenity of spending billions of pounds on weapons of mass destruction.
