Help me create DemocracyorBust.com! We need a website that lets us know how to vote, when to vote and gives reliable suggestions on who to vote for and at every level of government. I want to create a website that provides organized, reliable lists of recommended candidates, in every election from the Senate on down to your local board of elections. We need reliable information so that going forward we can vote in every election no matter how small, and take our democracy back from the bottom up. Together as a national movement we are the strongest force in American politics, maybe not strong enough yet to win the presidency, but strong enough to swing Senate elections on down. The movement behind Bernie Sanders has been able to self organize, and gather and disseminate information in a way that has never existed on this scale before. Let's use it to clean up our government and clean up our elections process, so that in 4 years when our age group is 49 and down and not 45 and down, we will take the presidency as well. I want to create a website that will provide, based on your zip code, easily printable lists of all the candidates running in your upcoming elections. Candidate’s names will be color coded, for instance red will mean to actively work against a candidate, yellow not great/not bad, greens mean ally, support this person! And grey means we have little information to provide. Clicking on a candidate’s name will bring you to a candidate’s Wiki Like profile page, which will provide the candidate’s contact information, title, party affiliation, years in office. Also provided will be the website’s reasons for supporting each candidate, and resources where those conclusions are drawn from. The website will provide times and requirements for voting such as deadlines for registration, ID requirements, alerts to let you know when elections are close, and a comments section to get feedback from the public. The website will also provide a social network for organizing and sharing information in a secure fashion, not like Facebook. If we come together as national movement to affect local elections, we cannot be stopped. The media cannot protect every dirty politician; the rich cannot outspend the country on a local level. Together armed with the proper information and our vote, we will win again and again.
