I stand with education workers at LAUSD who are essential to creating a clean, safe and supportive learning environment for our students.

Despite the essential work they do inside and outside the classroom, SEIU Local 99 members remain among the lowest paid workers in the district. The average wage is only $25,000/year and many are still only part-time workers. The district must stop undervaluing their work.

Respect Worker Rights. LAUSD must ensure working environments that are free from harassment, surveillance, interrogation and threats. I urge you to respect the contributions of your workers to student learning. Please reward their dignified work.
