Update from the Civic Engagement Team

Hello Petition Supporters,

My name is Alexandra, and I'm on the Civic Engagement team at Change.org. Our team works to connect petition starters and supporters with the public officials who have the power to act on the issues you care about. 

I reached out to the office of Stacey Hetherington, District 2 Commissioner for Martin County, and I wanted to share the following communication from her office as context. While the staff says that she does not intend to respond to a petition, it does indicate that constituent voices are being heard and that direct outreach from constituents themselves (and petition signers) may be welcomed!
