When this started, the plan was basically that Seb could put the numbers somewhere, to put in black and white what was concerning him and his friends. He was not expecting 11,000 other people to pick those numbers up and carry them with him. So first of all, than you for signing!
Quick update on what we've been doing the last two weeks.
We've written individual letters to 20 federal politicians. Each one written around what that specific person has said, written, voted for, or refused to rule out on housing. The Treasurer, the Prime Minister, the Housing Minister, the Opposition Leader, the chair of the Senate CGT inquiry, Senators McKim, Barbara Pocock, David Pocock and Jacqui Lambie, and crossbench MPs Allegra Spender, Helen Haines, Elizabeth Watson-Brown, Andrew Wilkie, Lidia Thorpe, and Dave Sharma. We will be sending those letters today and tomorrow.
Sebastian and Rachael are working on a submission to the Senate Select Committee on Intergenerational Housing Inequity. The deadline is 1 May.
If you want to help, here are three things that actually do something. Share this post so more people see the numbers righttohousing.com.au. Sign the petition if you haven't already. And if you've got five minutes, write to your own MP before the end of April. We'll be putting templates in the website before the end of the week.
More soon. Thank you for supporting this.
