🚨 URGENT UPDATE - December 19, 2025 🚨 EQUITY RESIDENTIAL THREATENING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING WE OWN TODAY - INCLUDING MY CHILDREN’S THERAPEUTIC DEVICES I just received an email from Equity Residential’s attorneys threatening to DESTROY all of our belongings TODAY - Friday, December 19th - just days before Christmas. What they’re threatening to destroy: 👶🏽MY CHILDREN’S AAC DEVICES - These are Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices that ALSO function as behavior modification devices. They help my two autistic sons (ages 6 and 8) communicate and are essential for their behavioral therapy and safety. 💊 MY ANTIBIOTICS - The medication I need to treat ongoing infections CAUSED BY THEIR TOXIC MOLD. They made me sick, and now they want to destroy my treatment. ❤️ MY HEART RATE MONITOR - This helps me monitor my POTS and epilepsy and manage my non-verbal shutdowns. Without it, I cannot track warning signs for serious medical episodes. 🌱 MY BUSINESS INVENTORY - I’m a single mom. FairyJane LLC (exotic plants and succulents) is my only income. They want to destroy my livelihood. AND THEY JUST ADMITTED TO THE MOLD. In the SAME email threatening to destroy our belongings, they wrote that “remediation in the prior apartment was completed.” But wait - their Community Manager Royia Stevenson told me the move was a “COURTESY” and NOT due to habitability issues. I signed a new lease under duress based on that lie. So which is it, Equity Residential? ❌ No mold problem existed (what they told me to avoid liability) ✅ Remediation was completed (what they just admitted in writing) THEY CAN’T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. I tried to file a police report for theft of our medical equipment. San Ramon Police Department REFUSED to take my report.
