John Smith started this petition to I Got Games and

We, the players of Time Princess, demand a rewrite of the new, upcoming storyline that removes any and all real-life allusions to H.H. Holmes and his cohort, who sexually assaulted, tortured, and killed men, women, and children. This monster, who skinned his victims and sold their skeletons for profit, should in no way be glamorized and romanticized, nor should the tragic deaths of his victims be used as fodder and entertainment for a child's dress-up game. To do so for the purposes of making a profit is disrespectful to his victims, exploitative, voyeuristic, disgusting, and disturbing. The content creators at IGG should be ashamed of themselves for resorting to the cheap thrills that come from "true crime" instead of putting in the effort to make an original, fictional murder/mystery story. The real-life horrors suffered by his victims, even fictionalized, are not meant to be used for people's "enjoyment" and have no place in a game for children.

If IGG releases this new book as it is being previewed, and uses it to make a profit off the story of a monster and the deaths of those poor souls, this company will sully itself and forever damage its reputation. We, the players, do not need, nor do we want, a story where we are forced to interact with these real-life degenerates, love interest or not. We do not want a plotline in which we, or other characters, are forced to attempt to escape from Holmes' "murder castle", as this is an insult to the victims who had to live through that exact same terrifying experience, as well as an insult to the players. We demand a rewrite out of respect to those people whose lives were cut short by H.H. Holmes, and out of respect for those of us, up until now, who have loved this game.
