PEACE IS BORN — AND ITS NAME IS LISTENING
I have very good news.
At the end of my poem Peace Is a Woman, peace was a pregnant mother.
On the eve of the New Year 2026, she gave birth.
Peace was born.
And the baby’s name is Listening.
Like every newborn, Baby Peace needs care and protection.
That is why IFLAC created a new global petition called:
I DECLARE WORLD PEACE NOW!
You can think of it very simply:
the petition is Baby Peace’s birth certificate.
Even before it was born, Baby Peace was already listening.
It listened to people in Haifa — Jews, Muslims, and Christians — living together, working together, and staying together.
That’s not poetry.
That’s Haifa.
In Haifa, coexistence is daily life.
At Beit HaGefen, we gave this lived reality a simple name:
The Bridge of Listening.
Because before people solve problems,
they need to listen.
Talking is easy.
Listening takes effort.
That is why I am genuinely happy to be here today as a guest of the Love Foundation.
We clearly share similar goals and values, and that makes collaboration natural.
This petition is not about pressure.
It is about people coming together.
It connects people into the IPLC — the International Peace Lovers Community.
And really — who doesn’t love peace?
When many people sign together, their voices connect.
And connected voices are heard.
Through this shared initiative, we are promoting two practical ideas:
A Global Anti-War Law, inspired by Japan — because making war illegal changes priorities.
And Governmental Ministries of Peace, working alongside Defense Ministries, with equal importance — focused on prevention, dialogue, and education.
Defense reacts after crises begin.
Peace ministries work to prevent them.
If Baby Peace is Listening,
then the petition is how we help it grow safely.
If you feel this message resonates with you, I warmly invite you to sign the petition today and help give Baby Peace the protection it needs to grow.
Not by shouting.
Not by forcing.
But by joining hands.
And I’ll end with this:
Baby Peace has been born.
Listening is its first breath.
The petition is how we help it survive — and grow.
With the Love Foundation listening with us tonight, Baby Peace is already in very good hands.
Thank you very much.
