As the Hussein Must Stay campaign moves forward, Hussein and his family continue to be welcomed by the people of Waltham Forest, east London.
Over the weekend some 100 people turned out (in miserable weather) to protest in support Hussein, his family and all refugees. Speakers included local councillors and campaigners. Hussein and his brother also spoke.
The protest was supported by trade unions- the NEU and Unite, political party's- the Green Party, Labour Party and Socialist Workers Party. Hackney, Newham and Waltham Forest Stand Up To Racism Groups also protested alongside Walthamstow Anti-Raids, Migrant Action, Stories and Supper and more.
Hussein was also welcomed to Clapton Community Football Club. Fan group, Gravy Ultras made two banners reading, "Hussein Must Stay," and "Stop Rwanda Deportations," which were displayed by fans as the second half of the match kicked off. Supporters chanted, "No borders, no nations, f*ck deportations," and "Say it loud, say it clear, Hussein is welcome here."
Many fans and fan groups are aware of Hussein's situation with some joining the protest and many calling for him to return to Clapton Community football matches.

Hussein continues to pursue a legal case and over 500 people have signed his petition in person and online. He has also received support from local MP Stella Creasy. But the Hussein Must Stay campaign has become increasingly aware of more people in Waltham Forest receiving notices of deportation.
