Problem
It is now year 4 of being blessed with the greatest NHL player on the planet and all we have to show for is one Stanley Cup Playoff appearance. Although that was fun, not only does this fan base deserve more but, so does Connor McDavid. Or dumbfounded general manager, Peter Chiarelli, has taken a team that was loaded with offensive talent and multiple high draft picks, and has turned those assets into lineup plugs surrounding Connor McDavid. Four years in and a team that has long searched for a number 1 defence-man still wanders in the bottom of the NHL standings. Somehow a man inherited the likes of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle and Matthew Barzal and has turned those pieces into an offensively challenged team while still slouching defensively.

Solution
We need a different management team plain and simple. This also needs to happen quickly before Peter Chiarelli trades Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for Roman Polak or signs Alex Chiasson to a six-year $7 million contract with a full no-movement clause. If he didn't do anything when he got this team, we would be in a way better position compared to right now.

Personal story
I have lived in Edmonton my entire life and have been a die hard Oilers fan the entire time. Sure, we've been through a lot as a city with this team but Peter Chiarelli must go before he wastes Connor McDavid or he is forced to pull a John Tavares. I love this team way too much to witness a man destroy this cities only hope.
