My son is not the only one this sort of injustice happens to, thousands of loving parents with no criminal convictions, who have never harmed their children yet have their children moved mainly for the 'potential risk of emotional harm'.
Parents are often bullied into assessments where the 'evidence' nearly always points to them having some sort of 'personality disorder', legal aid solicitors are appointed who also do a lot of work for the local authority (so you can imagine who they are really working for when hired by a desperate parent). Social services win approximately 99.7% of their cases with targets being carefully selected.
Parents rights are stripped away in secret courts where social workers can openly state things such as 'she picks and chooses when she is disabled', highly misleading evidence already proven to be as such is branded 'insightful and very helpful'.
If the reason for the extreme secrecy measures are to 'protect children's privacy' then why are those same children plastered all over adoption websites with their name, dates of birth etc there for all to see.
What goes on under the shroud pf secrecy well you wouldn't believe it unless you saw it first hand I remember sitting in court genuinely asking myself if I'd been transported back to the 1960s.
Rape victims and domestic violence victims are allowed screens in court as to not identify them as such and there have been many criminal court cases where defendants have not been named. Why can't we apply those same ways to the family courts to open them up?
Isn't it about time they caught up with the 21st century?
Isn't it about time they lived by the motto of the old Bailey 'protect the children of the poor and punish those who do them wrong'?
Isn't it about time the public got to see what their taxes are being spent on?
The government want us to be all so very open regarding child abuse/child protection but the place decisions about these things are made is secret? Does anybody else see the contradiction?
Thousands of parents are in the same position as me. My son is lucky myself and his mother can articulate ourselves and try to get the message out there.
OPEN THE FAMILY COURTS UP AND STOP PUNISHMENT WITHOUT CRIME.
