Releasing Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 for Honor 8 and Kirin 95x-based devices

Releasing Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 for Honor 8 and Kirin 95x-based devices
The Issue
Dear Huawei/Honor and disappointed Honor 8 owners,
In these days, Huawei officially confirmed that the Honor 8 and all the other Huawei phones, which based off of Kirin 95x SoCs will not get any Android 8.0 and EMUI 8.0 updates for their devices at all, because software and hardware limitations (what a bad joke). But the Honor 8 Lite (Huawei P8 Lite 2017 in the most parts of Europe and Huawei P9 Lite 2017 in Hungary) WILL get Android Oreo, even the three years old Galaxy S6 will get it (!!!). But why? If the Honor 8 Lite/Huawei P8/P9 Lite 2017 and the Galaxy S6 can run it, the regular Honor 8 CAN it, too. Oh, because this device has been shipping with a newer Android version from the factory! That is a bad reason and there is no excuse for it. And thus, if the Honor 8 would not get the update, then Huawei P9 owners will face the same problem, because the very similar structure of the two devices CPU/GPU. Do not let them doing this with our devices. Please tell them loudly that this is a bad business strategy that every device needs to have just one major Android version upgrade, even the flagships at Huawei.
