As a resident of Hua Hin, I am witnessing the steady decline in our air quality every day. My family and I, along with countless others, are exposed to dangerous levels of air pollution that are causing serious health issues, particularly respiratory problems. This should not be the reality for our beautiful town. The worsening air quality is not only threatening the health of residents but also endangering the many tourists who visit Hua Hin each year. This is an urgent crisis that we can— and must— address immediately.

Hua Hin consistently records alarmingly high levels of particulate matter in the air, far exceeding the safe health limits. Government data shows that our city ranks among the worst in Thailand for air quality. Yet, the response from local authorities has been shockingly slow and insufficient.

We can’t wait any longer.

We are calling for immediate action to improve Hua Hin’s air quality. This includes enforcing stricter regulations to tackle pollution at its sources, improving air quality monitoring to understand the scale of the problem, and adopting cleaner, sustainable alternatives to protect the environment and public health.

Our health, and the health of future generations, is at risk. We urge local authorities to take this matter seriously and prioritize action to clean up the air in Hua Hin.
