UNILAD have recently posted several videos of domestic rabbits being abused and tormented. In one viral video, a rabbit was kept in a completely unsuitable cage on top of a dresser and jumped out onto the floor. Not only is this advertising shockingly poor housing standards, but this rabbit likely suffered an injury from the fall. Sadly, the owners seemed to think this was hilarious.

Today, a video was shared where a rabbit was being tormented by a small dog. This rabbit was showing signs of being acutely stressed and acting in a defensive manner. Unsurprisingly, the comment section was full of people saying how cute and funny this video of a dog and rabbit “playing” was. They were not playing. The rabbit is a prey animal and was terrified.

This is an all too common occurrence on the UNILAD newsfeed on Facebook.

Please, UNILAD, stop posting “funny” or “cute” videos of rabbits, as clearly you do not have the knowledge to know when an animal is being abused. You are advertising and endorsing incredibly cruel, not to mention, dangerous practices.
