THANK YOU for everything you have helped us to achieve so far!
As we look back to celebrate the successes we have had in 2022, we also look forward to your support in helping us achieve our objectives for 2023…
It was March 2021 when EKFB set about felling the entire row of 99 veteran oak trees on Leather Lane. We are now at the beginning of 2023 - 87 of those oaks still stand, along with Ilona the Lone Oak!

January
We organised a very successful public meeting with presentations from the Woodland Trust, our Ecologists, Lawyers and Design Engineer to present our strong legal and ecological case and our design for an overbridge which would save the remaining trees.
February
Local residents join the campaign team as a direct result of the public meeting interest. Local petition is started and over 2,000 households sign up to the campaign. Sarah Green MP, Great Missenden Parish Council and Bucks Council show their support for the campaign too.
March
The campaign team produced a film featuring local residents voicing their strong feeling and concerns about the loss of the oak trees in Leather Lane and Ilona; not only for the impact to wildlife but also for the loss of local heritage and legacy.
