Following our event on 29 October to celebrate our efforts and to mark Ilona’s registration with The Woodland Trust’s Ancient Tree Inventory we are asking you once again to have your say.

Now that ‘HS2 are reconsidering their design’ following the work of this campaign, it is clear that fighting against the needless felling of ancient trees is essential in order to ensure that HS2 adhere to the mitigation hierarchy embedded in law in their own Environmental Statement, and ultimately to defend our beautiful countryside… but we need your continued support to keep fighting.

We call upon you to donate and to comment your words of support on Ilona’s page so that we can collate your messages and show HS2 and Mark Thurston (HS2’s CEO) the significance of ancient trees such as Ilona and the oaks of Leather Lane.
