We really are at the peak of our campaign now. All our hard work and engagement over the past year is paying off, and it shows what a difference local intervention can make, but we need all the support you can give.
Our final meeting with engineers and Bucks Council is due any day now. We will present our designs for an overbridge to save the remaining 87 trees and the ecological protection of the wildlife in Leather Lane, particularly the rare bats that use this ancient holloway as a flight corridor. This includes the endangered barbastelle bat, which is ever more under threat due to loss of habitat from HS2. This is why we MUST prevent the felling of any more trees and further fragmentation of the corridor.
Lindsey Spinks, a member of our campaign team, was able to make this representation at the Great Missenden Parish Council on 7th March, providing an overview of our campaign and requesting support.

We also had the opportunity to provide our 1,000+ signatures from locals asking the Parish Council, as well as HS2 and Bucks County Council, to take onboard our campaign and uphold the law to protect the environment and biodiversity. Are you able to volunteer to help with canvassing in our local area? We will team you up with an experienced canvasser and provide you with all the information you need. Perhaps you can help with holding a stall to distribute leaflets?
