I have just managed to get a big name from the world of archery and the Canadian sporting association to sign this petition and support it. Canadian archer Vanessa Lee has signed and supported my goal to make archery a core sport in the Commonwealth Games programme and I have convinced her that with her assistance we could help to make Edmonton, Canada the host of the 2022 Games where archery can take centre stage as a celebration for it's promotion to core sport status. If we keep this up and help Canada win the bid then we can probably see the athletes of the Commonwealth play the games with more diversity in choices of sport. It can show just how inspiring and talented anyone of any discipline can achieve great success. The Commonwealth Games stands for diversity, discipline and champions from all walks of life and we are lucky to be part of an exclusive club that the Olympics can't match.
