Thanks for the extra signatures. Like I said in the Wolves fan magazine. I have just written. I am aware you can get a backlash when you campaign. Yet, only been a couple of people, and made the peace with them. So it's been alright, so in the long run really. I still want this petition to go further than 106 signatures. Isn't about ego with me, not about me. It's completely about the integrity of the game. It's about standing up for football supporters. It's about raising awareness of VAR. Because awareness does need to be made. It's new technology. Some people say the technology works. However, maybe it does. Yet it doesn't cover every single angle. I didn't cover enough angles against the Wolves v Liverpool offside that wasn't offside. It couldn't cover the line, when the ball went out of play Arsenal v Newcastle.
So we do need more cameras, in all of the paces. It's like with CCTV. If you have a CCTV camera, that is only facing one way. Yet isn't facing the other way. You won't have a clear picture. I know there are multiple angles in VAR. Yet we need to get the technology up to standard.
Like I said, get the ref Mic'd up, we need to transform the game, and transform the refs. They probably do get training, however, as it's a new system. That human error, Liverpool. Diaz goal that was never offside. It's not just about Wolves. Or the penalty England conceded which Rico Lewis, that was never a foul. It was accidental hand to the face.
We have to make sure these officials are properly trained on using it. If some people comment, 'THEY DO get the training.' Then how come they are making mistakes? I know it's in human nature to make mistakes. Yet they have to be consistent at being good at reffing games. Consistently bad, doesn't have the same effect.
There is a standard that we have to set in the Premier League with officiating, and we need to increase the standard of officiating. I am not going into lowering the bar or heightening the bar. It's not about that. It's about fairness. Look. I am not Louis Theroux. I am not Sherlock Holmes. I don't have all the information. I have some of the information, yet it's up to me to keep up to date with all of this. Which means updating people. The petition is far from gone. People assume I am intelligent, in some aspect, in other aspects. I don't get every single fact straight. Yet, I would like to think it's passion for the love of the beautiful game that is driving me to make this change. It's not about, just trying to get a point across. It's not about that. I remember when Liverpool won the Champions League, it was pure passion and pure fighting to go from behind to win. That is the football we want to see. Fighting for the crest. Which is something all loyal fans, and players/coaches/managers/press should do.
Keep signing and please if you have time, encourage your friends to sign. This isn't about my ego, it's about the love, integrity, passion, fairness, and equality of the game. It's about justice. Because the injustice of it all right now, is outrageous. Thanks for reading.
