To all, thanks for signing my petition!
I have been sharing the petition link, and I don't have that many followers. People are still signing. Yet realistically. I would probably think this petition would require 10,000 signatures to be considered.
Howard Webb, as far as I am aware, does get notified every time someone signs. Because I put his email address in there.
He is aware of the petition, as he has had chats with Gary, and he has tried to soften the blow. Yet I won't be convinced, until we get a couple of good seasons without VAR blunders. Then I will close this petition.
Wolves, as a family, we are tired of apologies, tired of speeches, and reassurances these things won't happen again. When they will.
When O'Nana, the Manchester United Goal Keeper, did that challenge on Sasa, that should have been a red card, a sending off, and a penalty to Wolves. If that had been at the other end, that would have been given. One of the points I want to make is that I want the refs to be objective. Maybe Simon Hooper was worried about getting a backlash, yet he had/has to do his job properly. Not showing favouritism to teams, just because they have more points, more status, or are higher up the league.
I believe this petition can be ground breaking, yet I can't do it without every single football fans support. Wether you are supporting Man Utd, Wolves, Arsenal. Or even lower league teams. Or even if you don't follow the football yet you have heard of the injustice of VAR. It takes literally a second to sign. You don't have to include your name, if you don't want to. You can remain anonymous. You don't have to comment if you don't want to.
Yet I would urge everyone to share this link to this petition far and wide. I have had people say, 'Howard Webb, won't even look at this, it's not a priority.' Well, it's time to get him to look at it, and make it a priority. He cares about his reputation, that's why the more people who kick up a fuss. Actually cause this to stop. Me, alone, or Joe Blogs down the road can't change it. Yet when we get together, as a unit, and as a fan base. When we show solidarity that VAR is corrupt and wrong. Then, we can be unstoppable. Thanks once again for signing. Please share with your mates/colleagues/people down the pub/your barber/hairdresser/plumber. Literally everyone needs to know about this, to sign it. To get Howard Webb to change his policies.
It's not a case of VAR could improve. It's a case of VAR should improve. And I will keep singing about this cause until something is done.
