Dear Mr Cannan

As a matter of urgency could you please respond to the article in this weeks Manx Independent and show your support for the islands frontline carers who are suffering great financial hardship at this time. This affects almost every private and voluntary sector frontline care worker.
Are you going to support us in our hour of need and afford us the care we are giving on a daily basis to the weak and the vulnerable. Because at the moment we feel ignored, and feel after being in the firing and now needing to isolate we are being cast aside because we are no longer of any use.
It is amazing how quickly you move from Hero status to ghost when you ask for help.

I would appreciate an honest response and some form of financial assistance for those of us who do not qualify for benefits.

Our suggestion is that we recieve £280 per week the same amount that fit and healthy employees are in receipt of for sitting at home.

Kind regards
Joan Yardley
