Some may be aware that a strange proposal to appropriate $144 million for a new library emerged a few weeks ago, just days before the county's budget was announced.

It has left many confused and "upset" would be an understatement to describe the sentiment such a massive appropriation of funds to support Howard Hughes Corporation's boondoggle project.
