You may be aware that there is a no-developer donation pledge that has garnered much attention from Howard County candidates.

Many Howard County voters are signing this petition (https://www.hocopledge.com/individual-support/ to urge political candidates to stop taking developer dollars.

As a result, to date one candidate for county executive, one for county council, three for board of education and two candidates for state delegate have signed this pledge.

These candidates are committed to eliminating corporate influence on county and state government. At the county level the influence comes from developers.

We want elected officials who are not beholden to special interest influence.
