Email the County Council to Support CB24-2021

Action: Email (councilmail@howardcountymd.gov) the county council and tell them to vote ‘yes’ on CB24-2021.

Purpose of Bill: CB24-2021 sponsored by Councilmember Liz Walsh prohibits action on certain zoning applications while a new General Plan is in process. Typically these zoning actions benefit specific developers without any consideration to the actions congruity with the rest of the county’s existing plans.

The act also requires disclosures of certain contributions and business relationships with any members of the county council and/or the county executive in compliance with the Maryland Public Ethics Law.

Deadline: please email the county council by April 5, 2021 before 7pm. The vote will take place on April 5, 2021.
