The House of Representatives in the Philippines has voted to give the Commission on Human Rights only Php 1000 or approximately $20 for their 2018 budget. The Commission on Human Rights is responsible for investigating all forms of human rights violations. The Philippines has an estimated population of 103.5 million people and Php 1000 is definitely an insufficient amount to uphold their rights and respect their dignity as human beings. The government must respect each human person and their rights. The current situation in our country needs to be addressed and signing this petition will take us one step closer to ensuring the protection of each and every Filipino's human rights. Thank you!
