Living in Melbourne during the Covid-19 Pandemic we were the most locked down city in the world. The greatest impact on businesses was on the Hospitality sector. Our State & Local governments implemented measures for outdoor dining precincts (Marquee's) to be established Streetside to enable safe and effective operation of hospitality businesses whilst we were recovering from the most restrictive lockdowns in the world.

The pandemic is still with us, despite the highest vaccination levels in the world, 2022 is still living with Covid-19 but infection levels higher than in 2020 & 2021.

We need to maintain outdoor / open air dining as a safe option for all patrons and all hospitality businesses. Some people are now calling for these additions to be removed, this needs to be stopped as safety for all customers and staff is a health priority.
