We've lost, the fences will stay up (the council didn't care)

Unfortunately, we've lost the battle to get our freedom back during the lockdown. The oval is now dug up, the fences won't be coming down. Make sure the guy that gave this the go-ahead and has ignored our inquiries (Steven Head, General Manager of Council) hear's your stories about apartment life without easy access to the oval over the past and coming weeks of lockdown shead@hornsby.nsw.gov.au.
I do wonder what a public servant is supposed to do when they are presented with the voices of over 200 people opposed to your insular decision-making progress, I'm pretty sure 'good' leaders don't just turn a blind eye and neglect the wellbeing of their people. I guess when you are on the payroll and not elected you have the luxury of being ignorant to the pain of others, even if your job is to serve them.
Thank you for all your support everyone. Also, thank you to both The Hons. Matt Kean (MP) and The Hons. Alister Henskens (MP), both had the decency to make contact on the matter although at this late stage could not influence a better outcome, at least they listened.
