Dear Air We Share supporters,

I’ve managed to clear my schedule so am headed to Victoria with my family this Thursday, April 4, to speak with the housing and health ministers in person on behalf of us all between 4-4:30pm. MLA Mary Polak is also going to arrange a meeting time and space for any MLAs who are interested/supportive to come and connect with us, likely at 1:30.

We will be formally handing over the signed petition to MLA Mary Polak and she is going to bring it forward for presentation during Q&A at 10am. The plan is to have a chance for media interviews etc thereafter. Anyone is welcome to watch the session from the public galleries so if you’re interested and available then come on by. Here’s info on how to attend, or how to watch from where you are: https://www.leg.bc.ca/content-peo/Pages/Public-Galleries.aspx

Now for how you can all help, please act quick:
- email your MLAs asking them to support the petition; encourage them to attend the meeting opportunity with us that MLA Polak is organizing; you could ask them also to contact the housing minister directly with their request to have this issue addressed,
- for any individual who is willing to speak to the media about how you are (or have in the past) been affected, email me with subject line “smoke affected - willing to talk to media” and please include your name, contact information (phone or email), city you live in, and a brief blurb about your scenario ie. mother of 10 month old in strata condo dealing with constant cigarette and marijuana smoke from neighbour below
- for organizations in support that haven’t let me know yet, if willing to speak to media please email me with subject line “organization - willing to speak to media” and include name and contact info of spokesperson for that organization

Thanks again for all of your support. It’s super go time!
