Young people are very worried about their environment. I am a professional tutor, and I just helped one of my students write a speech on his chosen topic: the insidiousness of discarded plastic straws.
Our governments aren't listening, however. With the newly-announced $300-million in cuts to the Ministry of Environment, Parks and Recreation in Ontario, and the likely election of the UCP in Alberta, the need for climate advocacy in Canada seems only to be increasing.
Our petition has been a bit stagnant for the past several days. Now that Earth Day on its way, it is a great time to share and encourage others to sign.
This is so important. Please do what you can.
