Dear Friends,

We need to continue the fight for inclusion, diversity, and equity under the umbrella of equality for neurodivergent students in our education system.

Too many neurodivergent bright young people continually face unfair, unjust and illegal barriers that prevent them from thriving, and with the majority of us, even accessing their basic right to education as their neurotypical peers. This is a basic human right!

What other genetic conditions do you know where people in society are so united in their beliefs that the symptoms of the condition can be and should be punished as harshly and are seen as deliberate, rude, defiant, on-purpose-to-cause-harm and a basic character flaw, rather than an unwanted and involuntarily (no choice) symptom of a neuro-developmental condition?

It’s time to change that!

A campaign to raise funds for a legal battle to address the inequality and discrimination is underway.

I have been warning the education system for years now that this was going to happen. I am supportive of this process and I encourage people to fight for their legal rights. I have been asked to share this campaign and am very happy to do so and support the fight for our right to access an education equitably.

The aim of this campaign is to secure the rights and real-time, practical, sufficient and effective support (no budget limitations or excuses) that every neurodivergent student deserves and is guaranteed by law.

We will do this by winning this one crucial case, which will then set a precedent for numerous other neurodivergent students and by pooling our efforts and resources behind this one case to be supported through the legal process.

Ultimately, we have an end goal to establish and implement comprehensive inclusive support programs that start in kindergarten and extend through to universities.

Schools and education facilities lack the resources and trained specialists needed to provide the necessary assistance, leaving many students without the support they need and have the right under law, to thrive and succeed.

Your assistance and contributions will help us create a national register of specialists and programs dedicated to neurodiversity, ensuring that every student has access to qualified professionals who understand their unique needs at every educational stage.

By donating to this cause, you are standing up for the rights of neurodivergent students everywhere. You are helping us build a future where every child, from kindergarten to university has the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine in an inclusive environment. Together, we can make a powerful impact and pave the way for a more equitable education system.

Please join us in this crucial fight. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring us one step closer to achieving our vision of a world where all students are valued and supported.

Please share our message, spread the word and help us create a wave of change that cannot be ignored.

Please watch the video attached by clicking on the link below and if you have any questions, feel free to write them down as we are preparing a FAQ’s document to address questions or queries you have.

Please note that I will not benefit in any way financially from this campaign and am not paid or promised anything to support this campaign.

Thank you for your support. Together, we can make a difference.

In appreciation,

Selina Lee, in support of Brett and his son.

p.s. Please note that Brett and his son are already fierce advocates for our ND community and have previously given both written and oral evidence in previous Royal Commissions and State Enquiries into ND communities.

p.p.s. I will pass on any concerns or queries you have on to Brett and give him time to reply. This will be an evolving campaign and I believe he needs time to answer any queries you have. Also please note that he spent his own money to make the linked video
