We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the recent violent attacks against Israeli Jews in Amsterdam following a football match. On November 8, 2024, organized groups targeted Israeli fans, resulting in multiple injuries and widespread fear among the Jewish community.

Amidst this turmoil, many Amsterdam residents displayed extraordinary bravery and compassion by offering refuge and protection to those under threat. Their selfless actions not only provided immediate safety but also upheld the values of humanity and solidarity in the face of hatred.

In recognition of their courageous deeds, we urge the Government of Israel to consider a special award of gratitude for these individuals. This recognition would honor their actions and demonstrate appreciation for their willingness to stand up against antisemitism and protect human lives.

By acknowledging these modern-day heroes, we reinforce the importance of solidarity, humanity, and the fight against hatred. We respectfully request that the relevant authorities explore meaningful ways to express gratitude and reward these Amsterdam residents for their bravery and compassion.
