When the new administration took over, they eliminated the best direct line to the White House ever created: The White House Petition Page.
Before it was eliminated, I had a petition on it called "Veterans for the Purple Heart." It was a petition asking to honor the Purple Heart to be given for unseen wounds of war such as PTSD, TBI, hearing loss, and all others gotten by war with a motto: "For what does it matter if foreign soil is watered by patriots if we do not recognize the blood at home?"

Though the war may have happened years or decades before, the combat veteran with PTSD that cuts his wrist deserves a Purple Heart. The combat veteran who bleeds on the operating table to correct a TBI deserves a Purple Heart, and the combat veteran who cannot hear the the cooing of newborn babes, or even the birds in the trees because of a blast he sustained; deserves a Purple Heart.

No one knows what to do with all the veteran suicides everyday. I KNOW this will save lives. And though it may not happen in my lifetime, I know it will happen.

Please sign the petition now.
