These photos show that wooden picnic tables are apparently acceptable for North Fox Island, but not a public memorial bench that could potentially validate survivors, raise awareness, and expose dark history people should be aware of. 

Still eagerly awaiting the DNR's response to my appeal, but starting to feel like it may be awhile, and that they oppose this effort.
