They have made Posthumous awards so there is precedent for them to do so. Beverlee was in LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING first in her career & briefly on GENERAL HOSPITAL at the end. But, she is best known as Iris on ANOTHER WORLD & then that character, Iris, was spun off to create TEXAS! After that Pam Long created Alexandra Spaulding for her. She was the last daytime star to get star billing, for TEXAS! She was called a honey-mouthed blonde, the Greta Garbo of daytime, iconic, classic. On my YouTube channel you can see the best interview she ever did & some of it will crack you up! Her son, Scott McKinsey, is a Director at DAYS. He's in my group & he's with us 100%. I'm in touch via email with an author who is working on a biography of Beverlee. She never won an Emmy while she was alive. One the one hand that's hard to believe because she was that good!
