Thank you again for supporting this petition and demanding that the Civic Turbo Type r becomes available in North America. Honda did announce they will make it available sometime in 2017 leaving door open for even a 2018 release. Due to the European release being ahead of North America, we can now buy the 2.0L turbo engine from American Honda before the car is even available for sale or even a prototype. The price is indeed $5500 and I am sure when the car becomes available through US dealers with parts, these engine will be worth around $2000 new. So no idea what exactly the car will look like yet, but we know it is going to be using the Type R engine that is already available in Europe and North America.
