Unite Against Violence Conference: Join via Zoom
Thank you for your support to the work we do. We have raised awareness, supported new survivors through their recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration back into their communities, supported their children's education and continue to do all this because of support from people like you. We are pleased to share that we are taking our mission to a higher level. We are launching a capital campaign for the first GBV rehabilitation and resource center in Uganda. We could not get here without you.
You are cordially invited to please join us to hear from the voices of different acid attack survivors from across Uganda via zoom on 10th December 2021 at Hotel Africana Uganda from 8:00am - 2:00pm East African Time. We will be joining the world to commemorate the International 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. We will also use this time to unveil the plan to construct a Rehabilitation and Resource center where GBV survivors can access different resources including medical, education, psychological and personal development to support them as they rebuild their lives from abuse.
This will be followed by a two-day training and support group meeting for acid attack survivors to equip us with tools to become advocacy champions and ambassadors in our own communities. Our past experience has proven that support groups help survivors rebuild emotional strength and resilience as we navigate our new normal.
We hope you can join us and show solidarity to acid attack survivors in Uganda.
Hanifa Nakiryowa,
On behalf of the CERESAV team.
