Our change.org supporters. CERESAV is so saddened and broken by the sad news. We did everything possible in hope for the best results. As the CERESAV team together with our entire support network, we have stood together to see Sumaiya through recovery. But sadly, like many victims of Acid Attack violence, Sumaiya too did not make it to survival. She has lost the battle to the Acid Attack burns. Sumaiya has no family so CERESAV is taking full responsibility of her funeral and burial. We are still in the hospital mortuary trying to make sure that everything is taken good care of. Over the past months, we have witnessed how much the doctors and nurses at Kiruddu tried the best they could, in the face of scarce resources, to help Sumaiya through recovery. As the CERESAV Team, we are committed to taking on Baby Jovan as our own. We are the family he has, we are committed to doing the best we can to give him the best a child should have in a family, in a home. Please take a moment and show solidarity. Let us together share the petition. Please copy the link below and share with your networks. Now is the time we need to push harder on our Parliament: https://www.change.org/p/uganda-parliament-join-the-movement-to-stop-acid-attack-violence-in-uganda-pass-the-acid-attack-violence-bill?source_location=minibar Justine Mpagi Executive Director CERESAV
