UPDATE: Due to the ongoing restrictions to events in Victoria and the pending licence deadline for Community TV - the Antenna Awards committee have come to the unfortunate conclusion that the 2021 Antenna Awards will not be proceeding as a public event.
It is with great sadness that we make this announcement as we were looking forward to celebrating our sector and honouring the best of the best from the last 18 months.
As of today the plan for the awards are as follows:
- On our final night of broadcast, June 30, we will be holding a special livestream from the C31 studios from 8pm where we will be announcing the nominees and winners. This will not be a public event. We are exploring what options we have to include nominees/winners in this livestream.
- In the event Community TV is successful in receiving a renewal to our existing broadcast licences beyond June 30, we will reschedule the event to late August, most likely Saturday 28th, where we will hold the event as planned, safely and at full capacity, with all interstate guests, VIPs and existing ticket holders able to attend.
- If the livestream goes ahead on the 30th and Community TV is switched off the same night, all ticket holders will be fully refunded. We ask that existing ticket holders hang on to their tickets until we have exhausted all available options and it is confirmed that an event will not proceed. If however, you require a refund now, we are happy to oblige.
Please hang in there with us as the fight to save Community TV is not yet over. We still remain hopeful that we can all get together in August to celebrate the Antenna Awards and we will continue to update you as the next 12 days unfolds.
